Wal-Mart Radio Tags to Track Clothing

This Wall Street Journal article discusses Wal-Mart's plans to utilize Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) tags to track certain clothing in its retail stores. Successful implementation will lead to tagging of other products and rolling out to more than 3,750 stores in the US. The article addresses some of the benefits of the RFID systems including the sales benefit achieved at a pilot by Xterprise customer American Apparel, and the initiatives underway at other retailers such as J.C.
