Work-in-process Visibility and PCB Tracking
Tracking the flow of work-in-process items can be challenging in any discrete manufacturing enviornment, this is particularly true of electronic products and printed circuit boards. Recent advances in RFID technologies have resulted in chips that may be placed on PCBs during the initial steps of the production process resulting in complete visibility to the board as it moves through production.
Clarity EAM for WIP™ can capture the status of the board through the entire production process including inspection, rework, shipping and even return. With more accurate consumption data flowing to MRP, raw material needs can be reduced and throughput increased.
